We are delighted to have been retained by a Two Partner Solicitors’ Practice with offices in a bustling market town in the Vale of York. The Partners are interested in selling the Practice as a going concern due to declining health, although it is anticipated that at least one of the Partners would be willing to remain with the Practice as Consultants to smooth a transition.

Turnover for the last financial year was approximately £300K and is made up approximately of Residential Conveyancing (22%), Commercial Property (14%), Wills/Trust/Probate (37%), Matrimonial/Family (4%), Personal Injury (2.5%), General Commercial (4.5%) Debt Collection (2%) and miscellaneous (14%).

The Firm does not hold any legal aid franchises.

Apart from the two Partners, there are 2 full time equivalent fee earners and 5 support staff.

The Partners own the Practice’s offices and would be available for leasing.

This firm is an old established Practice that can trace its history back to the 1830’s. As a result, there are a couple of thousand wills and a couple of thousand deeds and a substantial number of EPAs and ongoing probates.
